Once upon a time, there was a CB radio user - a 'breaker' to those in the know - who heard a lowly call for a 'rig check' on the local airwaves, which was then West of Perth. Andi - Walnut, responded to the call of John - Wild Boar - and the rest, as they say, is history. Andi & Mandy (Hazelnut) became good friends with John & Donna (Dairy Maid) way back in the early 1990's and though distance has oft made 'eyballing' difficult over the past few years, recently this was shortened considerably (Fife & Stirlingshire) and more regular 'eyeballs' ensued, with talk of setting up a CB group for ourselves, with the opportunity for any other CB'er out there to become involved if they so desired. Many hours of deliberation later - a couple bottles of wine, most likely, too, - and the group title of Chatterbox Dx was hit upon and agreed. A few others were banded around and it was decided that Wind Breakers was very apt for the 4 founders of Chatterbox Dx. For all those wondering, it was a 'you had to be there' moment that inspired this title and 'we aint squealing', no way, no how, see!'

This venture is an effort by WB01/ 02/ 03 & 04 to try to embrace the longstanding motto of CB - to bring friendly, fun communication to other CB'ers, new or experienced, young or old. Local 'modulation' is as encouraged as longer distance - ower the water - dx'ing. Joining the Charlie Delta CB & Dx group is not restrictive, save for the proviso that your ownership of a rig would be one reason to wish to be a member in the first place, but not exclusive to those who do. Initial membership fee will give members a starter pack of some group QSL cards, a list of CB 10-code in common use, 'Q' Codes commonly used in CB Dx'ing, a membership certificate with Chatterbox Dx group call sign.
